If you surf the internet looking for cooking recipes, I'm sure you've seen recipes using an Air Fryer. This is a very trendy cooking appliance in recent years. In fact, for those who don't know, an air fryer is an electric appliance that uses hot air circulating at high speeds to cook food. This gives it a crispy texture without the need for a large amount of oil. It can be called an oil-free fryer.
Why choose an air fryer?
I admit that since I got one, I really appreciate it. It allows you to prepare healthier dishes because it contains less oil and therefore less saturated fat. Don't think that it's only used for making French fries. Air Fryers allow you to bake, roast, grill, and even reheat. You can cook meat, vegetables, and even desserts in them. It's very easy to use; I didn't even have to read the instructions for mine 😀 .
Another interesting point is that cooking is generally faster than in a traditional oven. Although generally more economical than the latter, it is important to compare energy labels to get a more accurate opinion.
How to choose the right Air Fryer?
First of all, it depends on the size of your family. Generally, for 4 people, you need a capacity of 3 to 5 liters. Then, pay attention to the power. I recommend at least 1500 watts. Then there are other features and/or accessories (basket, dishwasher safe, etc.) that you may or may not like. That's really a personal question. I like the fact that mine has 2 drawers because it allows me to cook 2 different dishes at the same time (chicken and potatoes for example).
